Today has gone very well. I love birthdays.

Went to bed at 3 AM, got up four hours later for breakfast and felt fine until the drive home. I slept in the car, then stumbled inside and fell asleep on the couch for an hour until Shelly woke me up for March of the Penguins.

Back up a little, though.

So I'm getting ready to leave for breakfast, and my parents come into the kitchen singing Happy Birthday.

They say they have a gift for me.

I'm like hey, cool, I like gifts.



The book from Amazon that I've been complaining about for a week! It came while I was out on Wednesday, and they hid it. XDD Brilliant, and I'm glad I can take a joke and didn't have a freakout about "WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE IT TO ME SOONER" or anything.

Also, I suggested to my dad this morning that we fill the rock pit in the backyard with sand to make it a long-jump pit, and host feats of strength at our barbecue in a week or two.
